Valentines Fingerprint Art

Hello Friends! Long time, no post…I know! I’m slowing getting back to blogging after a long holiday break. I’ll post more about where I’ve been another day, but today I have a really cute and super easy Valentines craft that you can make in less that 15 minutes! Quick crafts are my favorite, especially quick crafts that involve my kiddos!

For this project, you’ll need:

small flat frame
white cardstock or thicker white paper
paint colors of your choice: I used dark gray, white, red
gold paint pen
paintbrush
optional: sandpaper

Paint your frame gray, then sand the edges if you like a distressed look like I’ve done.

Add a few stripes with the white paint. I painted them freehand, but you can always tape them off…I was trying to keep the craftt as quick as possible!

Add a few gold stripes if you like…I thought this was a fun touch.

Now, for the super cute part…little fingerprints! It’s no secret that I love handprint art…fingerprints are just as cute. I cut a piece of white cardstock to fit the size of the frame’s opening. Add a little paint to your child’s finger and press at a diagonal. Reapply the paint and press another print at an opposite diagonal. I did this with each of my boys, although my eight year old told me he was getting a little too old for crafts like this…Haha!

Then, add “LOVE X…the number of children or fingerprints” in gold paint pen on the corner of the paper.
