Hello there friends! I know it’s only the beginning of November, but I’m beginning to get excited about Christmas. I’m trying really hard to hold off on decorating until closer to December, but I just can’t help myself from creating some new holiday decor. Especially decor that can really be used all the time…
I’ve been crushing on Christmas Countdown chalkboards for some time now, so I decided it was about time I made my own. I totally lucked out when Consumer Crafts sent me this perfectly sized chalkboard…The cutest white porcelain reindeer ornament was just the icing on the cake! See these items and SO MANY MORE darling holiday crafting items in the Consumer Crafts Holiday Catalog.
A couple steps I guess I forgot to photo…Sometimes I get so excited about what I’m creating that I just keep working. Oops! After painting two coats of red, I allowed it to thoroughly dry. Then I used a sanding block to sand the edges of the frame. I wiped off all of the sanding residue. To give the frame a finished look, I rubbed on a coat of dark antiquing glaze followed by a coat of creme wax.
For the wreath, I used regular chalk to sketch a wreath. It’s not perfect and that’s totally okay!
