Hey there Friends! I finally had a chance to do a little fall decorating over the weekend and came across this super cute Candy Corn Soap Dispenser I had completely forgotten about. I created it last year, but never shared on my blog…It’s perfect for Fall decor and so much fun for kids! While my boys are little and still get excited about seasonal decorations, I like to add kid-friendly touches around the house. I mean…How cool is it to squirt soap out of a candy corn! My boys have been washing their hands much more frequently in the past few days…
Here’s how I did it…
Start with a plain soap dispenser with a candy corn shape and peel off the sticker. Empty and rinse the soap out. I saved mine to pour right back in after painting. Then spray paint the bottle with white spray paint suitable for plastic. Allow to dry.
When all sections have dried, spray a coating of clear sealer over the top. I’m not 100% sure this was necessary, but I didn’t want my paint coming off when it got wet. So far, so good…and this soap dispenser has been getting a workout!
Sometimes, it’s the little things that are the most fun in home decor…If you don’t want to take the time to make your own, I actually saw ceramic soap dispensers almost identical to this at JoAnn Fabric and Crafts.
