Perfect Homemade Playdough
The perfect playdough recipe- soft, smells good, and lasts for a long time.
Write a review
  1. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  2. 1/4 cup salt
  3. 2 Tbsp. cream of tartar
  4. 1 package unsweetened drink mix (like koolaid)
  5. 1 Tbsp. canola or vegetable oil
  6. 1 cup water
  7. Optional: glitter
  1. Combine all dry ingredients in a medium saucepan.
  2. Add oil and water.
  3. Stir to combine.
  4. Heat on med to med-low heat stirring constantly until it starts to form a dough ball in the middle of the pan.
  5. Remove from the pan and knead on counter until soft, but not sticky.
  6. Caution: Will Be Hot!
  7. Once cooled, Enjoy with cookie cutters, etc.
  1. Store in a sealed plastic baggie when not in use. Will last a very long time.
  2. Larger glitter works best.
  3. The playdough will take on the color of the koolaid.
  4. If desired, add a couple drops of food coloring to make the color brighter. I have only done this with yellow.
Oh…you must not forget the glitter…
