Hello One Krieger Chick readers! It’s Amy from Delineate Your Dwelling, where I write about creative DIY projects that make my heart go pitter patter. I never met a glue gun I didn’t like!
I’m so excited to be sharing this colorful Colored Pencils project with you all today. I was a practicing Landscape Architect for 8 years and have a soft spot in my heart for all natural materials, so when I spotted these twig colored pencils I fell in love. However, I wanted to add just a little extra color to them!
My supplies were so simple for this project. I grabbed six different acrylic paints, some washi tape and a paint brush. I found the box of twig colored pencils at Home Goods and have seen them at TJ Maxx before, too.
The first step is adding some washi tape to the twigs for where you want the main color to end.
Then, after the paint has dried, add another layer of washi tape. This will be where the white tip goes.
Once the paint has all dried, remove the tape. Now it’s time to use those bad boys!
I love how the small white tip gives the impression of an eraser.
