3-Ingredient Slush…Yum!

Hello  Friends!  Hope you’re all having a great week!  I think most kiddos are back in school, so I thought this would be the perfect time to share one of our favorite afterschool treats.  Especially when it’s still hot out!  I share this idea over at Today’s Creative Blog over the Summer, but I thought some of you may have missed it…and really, it’s perfect for any season- not just Summer!

Ready to see share how to make a fun Monogrammed Mason Jar and a Yummy Slush recipe to fill it up?

 I came across these cute pint size plastic mason jars at my local Dollar General and knew I had to do something fun with them.  I’m a Momma of three little boys, so of course I picked up three in all different colors.  They really were calling for a Monogram, though…don’t you think?

So easy to do…You can make these even without a fancy cutting machine.   Here’s all you need…

{Vinyl and mason jars}

I just cut out the boys initials from white vinyl using my Cricut (any cutting machine will work).  The size is up to you, but my letters are 2.5 inches.

What if you don’t have a cutting machine?  Most craft stores sell vinyl decals or stickers that would work perfectly.  The local Sign shop in my town will also cut letters for me…a bonus if  I need a large cut.

Bet you would never guess this, but before I had children I taught High School…loved it, actually!  One of my most fun classes to teach was beginning level Foods…I taught them everything from how to hand wash dishes to making homemade spaghetti.  Out of all the recipes I taught, this 3-Ingredient Slush was always one of the biggest hits!

3 Ingredient Slush

  • Powdered lemonade drink mix (like Countrytime)
  • Ice
  • Water

(seriously…that’s all!)

Pour powdered drink mix in blender.  Fill Blender full of ice to the top of the pitcher.  Fill blender halfway full of water.  Blend and Enjoy!

Optional:  Add fruit.  Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, etc.  All are delicious!

What’s your favorite Slush Combination?
