Hi there Friends!
I’m going to let you in on a little secret…I love reading cards, especially Hallmark cards. Seriously. When I was in high school, there was a greeting card shop a couple blocks away from my school. I used to walk or drive there all the time just to read the cards. Over the years, I accumulated quite the collection of Hallmark cards. But I loved so many of them so much that I could never part with them…
Buying cards can get expensive, especially if you frequent a card store often like I did. It’s not as easy for me to shop for cards these days with three little ones in tow, which is why I was so excited to find such an Awesome selection of Hallmark #ValueCards at Walmart for only $.47 and $97. No joke! And they were all SO adorable that I just kept reading them…and picked up a few on my #CollectiveBias shopping spree.
Even better…I found out that Hallmark has a Cards Reward Program. Wish it had been around when I was younger! It’s Awesome! You can earn rewards for Hallmark cards you buy at Walmart. For every 5 cards you buy, you earn a reward…I know I’ll be buying more cards!
You see, August is a big month around our house. We have a lot to celebrate…My husband’s birthday, our Anniversary, one of my boy’s birthdays, and back to school (that is a reason to celebrate, right?) With that much to celebrate, I had a lot of cards to purchase!
Here are three of my favorites…
Ready to see what I came up with?
For my husband, I purchased this card and paired it with a printable from all of us…Add it to a small clipboard painted with chalkboard paint and he has an instant reminder of how much we all love him. Perfect for his office desk!
For my son who went back to school, I found this sweet card. The first day can be a rough one, but not when he knows how much he’s loved and that we can’t wait for him to come home. Plus what’s sweeter than finding a card in your backpack with a coupon for ice cream! Yep…He loved it! He even told me I could save the coupon and stick it in his backpack again next week!
And for the Birthday Boy…who is as sweet and as ornery as one little boy can be. He loves bright colors and his smile lights up his face…He sure keeps things Colorful around our house. He’s going to love finding a coloring book with crayons and a card when he wakes up on his birthday.
Gift giving doesn’t have to cost a lot of money to make someone feel special. What’s your favorite creative card idea?
