Hi there! Summer Fun is in full swing at our house. My boys are staying up late, sleeping in, and enjoying all of our warm weather. Although we do not have a big family vacation planned this Summer, we are trying to find fun things to do and places to visit in and around Kansas City. One of the places in Kansas City we had yet to visit was the Sea Life Aquarium and Legoland Discovery Center. My boys are 6, 4, and 2, so I wasn’t sure all three boys would be quite ready for it. Boy was I wrong!
I’m part of a Kansas City bloggers group and we were invited to a bloggers breakfast at SeaLife and Legoland the other week. The doors were opened two hours early just for us…Lucky kiddos- they had the entire place to themselves! It was Awesome! I mean, how often does one get to eat breakfast in an aquarium.
Needless to say, my boys were mesmerized from the start.
And it didn’t stop there…
Haha! And I was worried about taking a 2-year old. He Loved every minute of it.
In SeaLife, they could touch real sea animals…
And crawl through tunnels under the stingrays…So cool!
There were fun rides perfect for their age (and mine). Shooting the bad guys to save the princess…can’t get much better than this!
A giant indoor playland in both Sea Life and Legoland!
They could build a car and race it…
And their most favorite part of it all…The room where iconic buildings in and around Kansas City were made into miniatures with legos. The room went from day to night…and at night, a big flash of fireworks exploded onto the walls.
My boys could have spent hours racing cars at the miniature Kansas Speedway.
We spent almost six hours in both places and my older boys could have stayed longer…Talk about the perfect way to kick off Summer!
So, if you are ever in or around Kansas city you must add Sea Life Aquarium and Legoland Discovery Center to your itinerary. You can thank me later. Shoot me an email and tell me you’re coming…Maybe we’ll meet you there!
Hope you’re having as much fun this Summer as we are!
