Happy Monday Friends!! I have joined up with more than 30 AMAZING bloggers to tackle the challenge of creating a patriotic project or recipe without using the traditional red, white and blue color scheme! How fun is that?! Starting last week and running through July 4th, more than 30 projects will be shared on some of the most awesome blogs around. I can’t wait to see all of the inspirational projects and hope YOU will find some inspiration as well.
So…let me tell you…trying to create a Patriotic or Fourth of July themed project without the use of red, white, or blue was really a challenge! I think you may be surprised with what I came up with…
When I think of the Fourth of July, I not only think of stars and stripes, flags, and patriotism…but a celebration. With a celebration comes fireworks!
So gather up some paint, pipe cleaners, a wood plank, and painters tape (if you want stripes)
Start by marking off where you would like your stripes. Then paint with desired color. Since we are not allowed to use red, white, or blue, I went with grey.
Once the paint has dried, peel the tape off.
Now it’s time for some fireworks…
To make the firework stamps, cut pipe cleaners in halves or thirds. Then, lay them out like a snowflake or star. Take one and loop it around the others. Wrap one or two around the others as needed to tighten pieces. Leave one piece sticking up to use as a handle.
Stamp in desired color(s) Making sure to gently dab stamp in paint. A little goes a long way.
Now I can celebrate all season with a bright and festive table runner!
Now, before you head out, be sure to check out the AMAZING projects that were shared last week AND be sure to enter for your chance to win a $310 Target Gift Card by using the Rafflecopter at the end of the post!

How lovely!! One of my favorite parts of your runner is the fact that it’s made from wood, as opposed to the traditional fabric. Way to go on breaking traditions!!
It was definitely a challenge to come up with something non-traditional. I’m loving this blog hop thus far, cannot wait to see what else is in store!!
Thanks so much! I’m with you…This blog hop has been so fun, such a challenge, and I love to see everyone else’s take on it!
