Hello Friends! Happy Monday! Hope you all had a fun weekend…We sure did! Saturday, my sister and I took our five boys to the Homecoming festivities at our college Alma Mater, Northwest Missouri State. The parade was a big hit, but the bounce house slide was an even bigger hit! Needless to say, they ALL fell asleep on the ride home.

Also, I did not make it to the final round in the So You Think You’re Crafty Competition. It would have been fun, but I honestly don’t know how I could have gotten my project finished this week anyway. I am not a natural competitor, so just being a part of the competition was a huge accomplishment for me. It was one of the most empowering experiences I have been a part of and I made amazing new friendships and connections. I gained so much more than I ever expected. A HUGE Thank You to all of you who Voted each week! I would never have made it this far without you.

Halloween is just days away. If you haven’t carved pumpkins, you will soon. Here is a fun idea for your Halloween or Fall decor.
I originally created this Pumpkin Candelabra for the So You Think You’re Crafty Competition and am going to share how I created it.
What you’ll need:
- Small pumpkins
- Candelabra
- carving tools
- flameless tea lights
Let’s Get Started:
Choose the pattern you want to use on your pumpkins and draw it on. I used a pencil first, then went over with a Sharpie. I do not advise using a Sharpie, though. It was very difficult to remove.
Then, cut out the desired shape on the pumpkin. These were a bit of a challenge to carve due to their small size. I am sure larger pumpkins would be less difficult or just simplify the design. It would be really cool to have a pattern on both sides!
Add a flame-less tea light for a fun nighttime glow. These gave off more light than I expected. I just picked them up at Dollar General for a couple dollars.
Set the carved pumpkins on a candelabra or two and you have a fun glowing festive centerpiece!
Note: You will want to secure the pumpkins to the candelabra with sticky tack or other removable adhesive. Unfortunately, I lost a couple pumpkins after they fell off their stand. Frustrating when it took so long to carve them. For the candelabra, I simply spray painted old candelabras with glossy black. A much needed update!
Happy Day!
