Hi Friends! Not sure about the rest of you, but I am needing a little pick me up to get me through the rest of the week. Thought I would share something that works for me…
I confess.
I drink coffee in the morning, maybe even until noon…Then I might drink more coffee in the afternoon when I get chilled paired with my homemade coffee creamer.
I love the smell of coffee and my favorite flavor of ice cream is…yep, coffee!
When I go to Target, I stop by Starbucks for my “special treat”…a fancy coffee.
My book club met at a new restaurant in Kansas City and the best part of the meal was the French Pressed coffee I had with my dessert. I’ve been craving it ever since.
Panera has a delicious Hazelnut…I drank too much just the other night and barely slept…Oops!
Okay…so by now, you may have guessed that I LOVE coffee.
Sure hope I am not the only one!
How would you like to know how I jazz up my basic coffee grounds?
I flavor my own coffee grounds! It’s so easy and you can make just about any flavor you can imagine!
How?
I have a Keurig, but you can adapt this for a pot.
Naturally, I am too frugal to purchase the K-cups. I use the little mesh basket and scoop coffee granules a little over 3/4 full. {My favorite ground coffee to work with is Folgers Classic Roast, but I will purchase the brand that is on sale and stock up. Currently, I am using Maxwell House Wake-Up Roast.}
Then, I add a pinch of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice or a drop of vanilla extract. The options are endless!
Brew, gather up some favorite reads and enjoy!

I love Coffee Too!!! Grandpa Smith’s fault. He always let me have coffee when I was young! Favoriite way at home is With Shatto Half and Half. By the way Shatto Coffee Milk is also my Favorite! Cafe’ Misto at Starbucks is one of my favs and Capacinos in the Dominican Republic during Happy hour is the VERY BEST!!
I too am cheap about my k-cups! I use one in the morning (usually a bold roast that I can make the larger cup with) and if I drink more, I use my Ekobrew! I will have to try this flavoring trick, I usually use whatever coffee is on sale also and my hubby doesn’t like flavored coffee so I can’t justify buying a whole bag of it.
